The High School enjoys an attractive rural site on the outskirts of Carnforth but within 5 minutes walk of the town centre. The modern and well-maintained school buildings, some of which were built in 2005, are set within 12 acres of first class playing fields. These provide facilities for a wide range of sports
The School has a tradition of producing happy and well-balanced pupils who enjoy being part of the school. We believe that no one can produce their best unless they are in a disciplined and supportive environment. The school's rules are based on three principles: Consideration for others, Respect for property and Civilised and reasonable behaviour.

PASTORAL CARE
The pastoral support at Carnforth is second to none; every student is treated as an individual from their first contact with the school until they leave at 16. The staff and governors are committed to maintaining this as one of the most valuable features of the school.
Some senior students act as prefects or are involved in helping younger students in the school in a paired reading scheme. One result of this is that the local 6th forms frequently comment on the maturity and sense of responsibility shown by Carnforth students.
