| ABOUT US
Casterton is one of the most established academic girls boarding and day schools in the UK, with a national and international reputation.
The school is located on the borders where three counties meet, North Yorkshire, Cumbria and Lancashire. Girls come to Casterton from a wide geographical area. The school is very easily accessible from Scotland in the North and London and Manchester from the M6 which is only 15 minutes drive away. Casterton is also popular with girls from Yorkshire, due to its easy route on A59 and A65 from York, Harrogate and Ilkley.

| Situated in a beautiful rural location in the Lune Valley, Casterton Preparatory School offers the ideal early years and primary education for boys and girls aged 3-11.
It shares the same campus as Casterton School, the leading girls boarding and day school in the North West, which consistently produces GCSE and A level results that are amongst the best in the country.
|
| Casterton School has a national reputation for the exceptionally high standard of Art, Music and Drama. The foundations for this success are laid in Casterton Preparatory School which benefits from the superb facilities and professional expertise of the Senior School.
Once a year, all branches of the Creative and Performing Arts combine to produce a full-scale Bronte House Musical in the Gymnasium Hall. Recent productions have included 'The Wizard of Oz', 'Peter Pan', 'Oliver', 'Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat' and 'The Wind in the Willows'.
A range of activities and expeditions take place during each term, and sports matches are also a regular feature of Preparatory School life.
|
| Bronte House is the junior boarding house of Casterton School for girls in Years 3 – 7. It also serves as the after-school home for all day pupils in these years.
At the end of the school day and at weekends there is a wealth of exciting activities available for everyone, boys and girls, day pupils and boarders. This provides stimulation for the children and flexibility for parents of day children who can collect them before or after tea or even later in the evening if necessary.
Day children are also encouraged to join in some of the interesting activities arranged at weekends for the boarders and occasional/flexi bording is possible at this stage.
