In common with all maintained Primary Schools in England, the school
curriculum is drawn from the National Curriculum. The children study
the three core subjects of English, mathematics and science, and the
Foundation subjects of history, geography, art, design technology, music,
P.E. and ICT. Religious Education is taught following the Blackburn
Diocesan Syllabus. PSHE (Personal, Social and Health Education) is also
taught throughout the school. The School has been recognised by OFSTED
for its outstanding achievement, in its Annual Report, which was
celebrated by a visit to Highgrove to meet with HRH The Prince of Wales. |
