ABOUT US

Christ Church School is a community school with a Christian ethos. It is distinguished by attaching a high priority to the partnership with the home and parish. With a quality of care and spiritual development throughout all the school community, we at Christ Church School endeavour to nurture our children within a Christian context, which reflects the faith and practice of the church. We provide a caring environment in which every child is encouraged to achieve their highest standards within the widest and fullest education by providing a stimulating environment and promoting each child’s self esteem.

STARTING SCHOOL

Starting school is an important stage in a child’s life and we at Christ Church want the passage from home to school to be a happy natural process. As part of this we have a carefully structured induction programme designed to prepare children and parents for school in September. We begin with a special induction evening with an opportunity to meet the head teacher and staff, talk to them, look around the infant classrooms and learn more about school. We produce a parent friendly induction pack full of pre- school information and leaflets to help answer questions from school uniform to the curriculum itself!

The reception teacher will visit the children in nursery and there are a series of fun packed pre-school afternoons for parents and children to visit the school and ask questions before September!

We have established strong links with our local nurseries and we invite them to visit us for special visits at different times of the year. We look forward every year to welcoming parents and children to our busy thriving school and are always available to answer questions and give support.
