ABOUT US
Clayton-le-Woods C. of E. School nestles in the lovely Cuerden Valley, halfway between Leyland and Chorley. The school premises date back to 19th Century, when the school was used as a chapel. Since then there have been many additions to the buildings, the latest being an I.C.T. suite completed in 2003.
We are fortunate to have a large playing field attached, mainly used for recreation and sports. There are two playgrounds, one for Infant children and one for the Juniors.
There are nearly 250 children on roll, aged between 4 and 11 years. We have 8 classes with 6 full time teachers, 4 part time teachers and several support staff.
The school is Voluntary Aided and supported by both Blackburn Diocese and Lancashire Education Authority.
