There are opportunities for children to participate in extra-curricular activities / clubs such as brass instrument tuition, football, cricket, dance, netball, computers and chess. Children are encouraged to join classes organised by the Calderdale School of Music and peripatetic
music teachers give violin, guitar, flute and keyboard lessons to individual children. Other instruments can be taught on request.
The school has a play leader scheme run by older, trained, play leaders for Reception, Yl and Y2 children at lunchtimes and a ‘Buddy’ scheme which also operates at playtimes and lunchtime.
Y6 take part in an annual weekend residential visit to an Activity Centre and organise fund raising events to help with costs.
