| ABOUT US
The school has a long history. Originally built as an Open Air School in 1926, it has changed and grown over the years to become the large, two form entry community primary school we are today, accommodating about 400 children aged between 4 and 11. Our two main buildings illustrate the differences in design the years have brought with them, and the playing spaces which surround them have been developed to cater for the many needs of our children. Our playing field is situated at the top of Devonshire Road and provides a large open space on which many sporting activities can take place.
|
| - To value all our children's achievements in order to build pride in work well done and
boost self-esteem.
- To provide a wide range of stimulating activities and experiences that enrich our
delivery of the National Curriculum enabling our children to become numerate,
literate and aware of technological capabilities.
- To provide opportunities for all children who so wish, to take part in a range of out
of school activities.
- To encourage children to become independent, whilst learning to form
co-operative relationships.
- To develop in our children a sense of community, caring for each other and able to
make choices based on the knowledge of what is right and wrong.
