ABOUT US
Euxton Church of England School has over 150 years of tradition in providing high quality education to the
children of the community, moving to its present site in the 1960s. We value this tradition but we are also
committed to adopting the best practice and opportunities of the present and immediate future. We have been
quick to utilise the new technology, such as interactive whiteboards and the Internet to support the children’s
learning across the different curriculum subjects. Each week classes use sets of laptops to enhance their work and
research skills. The school has both a breakfast and an after school club.
We are constantly reviewing our curriculum provision, making sure for instance national initiatives in literacy and
numeracy work for the children in our care. We see the opportunities in taking part in musical, dramatic and
sporting activities as underlying our belief in nurturing the all round individual. In addition we place great value
on the pastoral care of pupils, their moral and spiritual development, as well as the children’s general happiness.
The school has a three year vision of where the school is heading and this is openly displayed for visitors to the
school in the school’s foyer.
