ABOUT US

Our new school opened in January 2001 and is in the Glodwick area of Oldham in UK. It is a Community Primary School and works within the policies established by the Oldham MBC. Greenhill is housed in a single storey building in a Scandinavian design and has a Nursery, 2 Reception classes, 3 Key Stage 1 and 6 Key Stage 2 Classes. The hall is well equipped for PE and gymnastics and is also used as a dining room for cafeteria lunches. There is a school library area for all pupils within the Information Technolgy Study Centre.

There is a large playground with seating, an early years play area, and a full size Astro turf pitch. The Internal Courtyard yields outdoor teaching areas. The school is continually developing its environment both inside and outside. There are plans to incorporate a wild life garden and science area in our grounds.

We want our children to realise their full potential in all areas of development. Greenhill Primary School is a place where teachers and parents work together to ensure that all children are valued, and feel valued, enabling the highest possible achievements. We actively promote an environment where children care for themselves, each other, the school and the community, and are happy, responsible and self-disciplined.

We aim to provide an education for our children which promotes the highest possible standards. Everything your child does in our School is part of this curriculum. The total experience is designed to maximise achievement within the National Curriculum and develop skills, attitudes and attainment in the widest sense.
