Hawes Side is a large Primary School in the South of Blackpool. Originally built in the 1930s, it has been extended and modernised significantly so that it now accommodates 510 children in 18 classes, taught by 23 teachers. In addition, there are two halls, a good-sized library and a fully equipped ICT Suite.

Although appearing small from Pedders Lane, the premises open up to reveal a school of significant size with standing in the local community to match. The extensive grounds, which are mainly at the rear of the school, include two playgrounds and a very large playing field.

• Providing an extended provision for children from 3 to 11 including a nursery, out of schools clubs and a range of on site services to support the needs of our community.
