Heap Bridge Village Primary School
Heap Brow, Heap Bridge, BL9 7JP, UK Bury
+44 (0)161 764 5686

Heap Bridge School is a Group 2 school with approximately 165 children. The school was opened in 1912 to cater for the children in the Heap Bridge area but now also includes children from the Summit Estate, and Darnhill and surrounding farms.

The atmosphere at Heap Bridge is that of a small village school and we are able to develop close relationships between teachers, parents and their children.

Parents organise and supervise a bus service which transports children from Summit to and from school.

  • Create a stimulating environment in which children are able to develop educationally, morally, emotionally and physically;
  • Encourage children to value their own achievements, respect individual differences, and to be sympathetic to the needs of others.
  • Encourage children to develop positive attitudes towards their work, to set high standards for themselves and to develop self confidence.
  • Promote a caring, happy, learning environment to the mutual benefit and satisfaction of Parents, Children, Staff, Governors, and to work in partnership with parents to provide opportunities for children to fully develop their potential.
