ABOUT US
We are very proud of our reputation for academic excellence and student support, which was confirmed in the 2007 Ofsted Report on the college, in which Holy Cross was classified as Grade 1, outstanding, in all areas on which Ofsted report. I was particularly pleased that the inspectors commented on the “outstanding commitment to the mission and Catholic ethos” and also that “the A level success rate placed the college in the top 10% of similar colleges nationally.” I was also very encouraged that for the third year running Holy Cross was ranked in the top ten colleges in the country in this year’s Performance Tables published by the Department for Education and Skills, based on A level results.
In recent years the College has carried out a major building and refurbishment programme, which has given Holy Cross facilities to be proud of. These are exciting times for the College, particularly when you consider that we now have over six hundred adult evening students following higher education courses in conjunction with Liverpool Hope University, Edge Hill University, The University of Surrey through St Mary’s College, Twickenham and Leeds Metropolitan University.
