The school is a voluntary aided co-educational primary school, providing education for children aged 4+ to 11+. There are currently 398 pupils on roll.

The school is affiliated to, and supported by, the Church of England parish church of Holy Trinity, Horwich. The daily act of collective worship is considered to be a very important focal point in the life of the school as a community.

• To provide a broad, well balanced, differentiated curriculum which incorporates the content of the National Curriculum.
• To ensure that the school curriculum is enriched, through interaction with our church and community, enabling children to extend their knowledge and skills through their contact with local people.
• To ensure that the experiences we provide are equally accessible to all pupils regardless of their creed, ethnic origin or gender.
• To prepare children for life in a multi-cultural society, by encouraging empathy and understanding of the customs and traditions of people from different cultures to our own.

We provide a broad, relevant and balanced curriculum, which is sufficiently differentiated, to meet the many and varied needs of all our children. All pupils are taught the subjects of the National Curriculum.

eachers run after-school clubs for children of most age groups in a wide range of activities, depending upon the interests of staff and pupils. We have a school choir, and brass band, which perform at concerts, festivals and on Sermons Day at church.

Pupils talented in team sports represent the school in football, swimming, netball, mixed netball, cross-country running and athletics. Matches are played against other local schools. Our children have also represented Bolton in hockey, rugby and pop-lacrosse at the Greater Manchester Youth Games.
