Lammack Primary School
Lammack Road, BB1 8LH, UK Blackburn
+44 (0)1254 698584

Lammack is the largest primary school in Blackburn. We have just under 500 children, 25 teachers, 15 classroom support assistants, 4 secretaries, 13 welfare staff, 3 cleaners and 6 kitchen staff. There are 2-3 classes in each year group and teachers have a range of skills, experience and enthusiasm.

Our children work very hard in lessons, they are set regular homework and their parents are asked to help them at home. We also have a lot of fun! There are dressing up days, competitions and enrichment afternoons. We have many visitors to school.

We are equipped to a very high standard and the children enjoy a range of resources to help them learn including computers, interactive whiteboards and digital cameras. We welcome children of all backgrounds, faiths, cultures and abilities. We celebrate diversity and feel this gives our school a very distinct and special ethos.

At Lammack we offer the children a broad and very exciting curriculum that is based on our aim to provide ‘excellence’ and ‘enjoyment’ for all our children. We have regular events in school to stimulate the children’s interest and imagination. Above all at Lammack we are very proud of our consistently high results and the enjoyment that the children receive from the exciting, lively and busy atmosphere of our school.

We have a super breakfast club ( The Early Birds) which operates between 7:45am and 8:45am each morning. Children can choose a variety of breakfasts and learn alongside each other with fun activities. Parents are welcome to stay and have fun! Cost £1.20 per morning. Ring Mrs. Bretherton on Blackburn 698584 to book your place. Please note that the information given in a power point below could take upto 5 minutes to load to your computer.

It is very important to us at Lammack that children enjoy school life to the full. We enrich the curriculum that the children receive with a wide range of clubs that take place either at lunch time or after school. Some of the clubs are seasonal and take place at a particular time of year and others occur all year round.
