All students follow the National Curriculum. In Year 7 they study English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Spanish, Design and Technology, Music, Art, Drama, Physical Education, Information Communication Technology, Religious Education, Personal, Social and Health Education and Citizenship.
The curriculum, as you can see, is broad and balanced and designed to give children the best opportunity possible to develop their skills and discover those areas in which they find success. The use of the school's Teaching and Learning and Behaviour Management Policies by all staff at all times ensures that students receive consistently high expectations of their performance and behaviour. As a result all visitors to the school, without exception, comment on the focused, calm, hard-working atmosphere apparent wherever they go. All students study between 7 and 10 GCSE subjects depending on ability. The majority of our young people continue their studies at higher and further levels of education.
