The curriculum provided at Little Lever School fulfils national curriculum requirements. Subjects are grouped together according to allied interests into the departments listed to the left.
The curriculum provides a wide range of learning opportunities...There is a positive commitment to keep it broad and balanced. Provision for modern languages is excellent.
Heads of department are responsible for regulating the teaching/learning programmes provided within these areas of study. Pupils have seperate lessons in citizenship/personal, social and health education and religious education.
The school adopts the strategy of cross-circular approaches for citizenship/personal, social and health education, sex education, language, vocational guidance, enterprise education and information and communication technology.
Teaching methods, which combine theoretical and practical approaches, are supplemented by field studies, visits, visiting speakers, library facilties, information and communication facilities, television programmes, CD ROMs, other educational software and worksheets produced in our resources unit.
