First of all we have high expectations of all staff and pupils and will set ambitious targets for both. We believe that anything is possible – there are no limits to aspirations or learning.

We will challenge students to apply their knowledge to real life situations and encourage them to work together to solve problems. We will nurture talent in all its forms and celebrate success at every level. There will be lots of extra-curricular opportunities in art and sport and music as well as opportunities to work with other schools, students, university staff and business personnel. We are investing in the latest technology to support learning.

Our mission is to nurture enterprise in young people today so that they will be prepared for the new challenges of the work place and become the creators of wealth tomorrow.

In September 2003 Mount St Joseph was designated Bolton’s first Business & Enterprise College. This "special school status" acknowledges the many partnerships forged by the school with the world of business. It enables us to work together with them to further raise standards of attainment in school, share good practice with other schools and offer training courses to the community.
