ABOUT US

St John's Primary School is set in rural Lancashire, close to the Fylde coast. As a village Church of England School, we aim to provide learning opportunities for children aged 4 - 11 to achieve their full potential, academically and socially within a happy, caring Christian environment. We actively encourage each child to develop self-confidence, self discipline and to become self-motivated.

We bring you exciting learning experiences within the National Curriculum, including the three core subjects of Maths, English and Science, plus I.C.T. We currently have 20 operational computers in our four classrooms plus three fully interactive whiteboards. The foundation subjects (Art, Design and Technology, Geography, History, Music, P.E. and R.E.), along with PSHE, make up the rest of our classroom timetable. We are proud of the artwork we produce and a visit to the school will show you the wonderful work we produce!

We also provide a wide range of Extra-Curricular activities to share outside the classroom. These range from visits to theatres, museums and places of interest within school hours, to cinema visits and after school clubs outside school time. Our Key Stage 2 clubs cater for almost any personal interest you may have, and if we don't yet cover what you want, ask us! We also take part in many sporting activities throughout the year. We were the champions in the recent cross country inter schools competition - our pupils came first, second and third. What a performance they gave!!
