ABOUT US

Priory Sports & Technology College is a well established, County, eight-form entry, co-educational, 11-16 comprehensive school in the borough of South Ribble.Situated on a very pleasant rural site on the outskirts of Preston, the school was opened in 1953. It was generously equipped with a further building programme in the mid-1970's. The school has approximately 1000 pupils on roll. Each September the intake year has 200 pupils in it. The catchment area includes Penwortham, New Longton, Longton, Hutton, Walmer Bridge and Hoole and the admission of pupils is administered by the Education Office situated in Preston.

As a large school, it offers a variety of courses and facilities which are second to none in the area. The intake of pupils covers a wide range of ability and the school is well organised to accommodate the least able as well as the academic. Parental support plays a big part in establishing a tradition of academic excellence.
