ABOUT US

Our school is always a hive of activity, not least because of the exciting new building work which has taken place over the last two years. The Infant building has been completely re-furbished, providing a Key Stage 1 ICT suite, with furnishings just at the right height for our younger children in school. This year has also seen extensions to the Junior building, allowing for an extended ICT suite.

Our school has very close links with both local Primary and Secondary schools. We access support from Fulwood High School in the teaching of Modern Foreign Languages, Drama, Music and Science. The "Learning Laboratory" programme for our gifted and talented youngsters is supported and very much enjoyed by our older children.

Creativity is an important part of our curriculum. We enjoy themed days, whole school workshops, physical activity and technology days. On such occasions our children move around school accessing the many different activities located in each classroom.

The school has an After School Club - "QD Kids Club" and a Breakfast Club, and so we are able to provide high quality care for your children from 7.15a.m. - 5.30p.m.

This is a school where no-one ever seems to want to leave at the end of the day, with children participating in the many extra-curricular clubs that we provide, both at lunchtimes and after school. These include sports, ICT, music and gardening!
