ABOUT US
Red Marsh school is located in a modern building which was opened in September 1977. The school is wholly maintained by Lancashire education comittee. The school caters for up to 50 Boys and Girls aged between the ages of 2 and 19, and who have severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties.
The school is well equipped for the needs of the pupils and has a minibus which is provided through the Variety Club, and various fundraising.
The school has a therapy room, which is used by visiting Physiotherapists to assess and treat pupils, A school library, whic includes fictional, non-fictional, and taped stories, and also sensory books vor the visually impaired.There is a Two classroom nursery Unit, which is bright and stimulating environment, and greatly enhances the educational opportunities of the youngest pupils. The ICT within the school has also developed over the years, Each of the classrooms has a computer system linked to the LEA intranet, and the school also has an ICT room for more soecialised work.
