ABOUT US

Rosehill Methodist Community School opened in September 2003. The school was built to replace Hurst Infant School and Hurst Methodist Junior School. The school opened in a brand new building designed to meet the needs of children in the 21st Century.

The school is a two form entry school with a maximum of 60 children in each age group. The school caters for pupils from 3 to 11 years of age having a 26 place nursery which offers sessions each morning and each afternoon. Part of our building also houses a Sure Start Centre with which we have close links.

The school has excellent facilities including a 31 place computer suite, a computerised library and interactive whiteboards in all classrooms. The Foundation Stage and KS1 pupils have access to a purpose built outdoor play area where they can develop their gross motor skills through use of the tricycles, climbing frames and a range of outdoor equipment.

The sporting facilities are extensive with a flood-lit all weather pitch, extensive fields and a tennis court. The grounds are managed by a Sports Trust and when not being used by the school are available for community use.
