St. Stephen's School
St. Stephen's School is a Voluntary Aided Church of England Primary School for boys and girls aged between four and eleven and has much to offer to children of varied abilities and backgrounds. The school, which provides education for approximately 420 children of between four and eleven years of age, has served the local community for more than 150 years. This prospectus will tell you something about our school. I hope that you will find this helpful and that it will give you an understanding of the work we do at St. Stephen's and the aims to which we aspire. After reading it, there may be some questions you may like to ask. If so, you are welcome to contact the school. If you wish to visit the school, then please do make an appointment to do so. We would be delighted to share with you the wide range of teaching and learning that takes place each day at St. Stephen's School.

A Message From the Chairman of Governors
Over recent years I have watched St. Stephen's School grow in stature as an educational establishment, with Christian principles, covering the primary age range. The success of a school is very dependent on the way it is managed. At St. Stephen's, the governors and staff are mutually supportive and work together in their endeavour to achieve an effective school. The school is very fortunate in having a dedicated, talented and caring staff whose purpose is to see that every child enjoys their school day as well as being stimulated and challenged during the education and learning process. The happy vibrant atmosphere of the school is testimony to the success of this endeavour. At St. Stephen's we welcome and expect parents to show a keen interest in their child's education and development and to work with the school as a team for the benefit of their child.
