About Us
Welcome to St Vigor and St John Church of England Primary School Website. Our school serves the village communities of Chilcompton, Stratton- on - the- Fosse and the surrounding area.
All the Staff and Governors work hard to provide our children with a warm, secure and stimulating environment for learning within an ethos which strongly promotes Christian values.
We aim to co-operate with parents in encouraging each child to attain their full potential, academically physically and spiritually.
This website aims to provide a stimulating link between parents, children and staff, to share and appreciate successes within school and celebrate learning.
St. Vigor and St. John Church of England VA school is located in the village of Chilcompton. The school has 7 classes (1 for each year group), named Arum, Bryony, Campion, Dogwood, Elder, Foxglove and Gentian (A, B, C, D, E, F, G). The school building is fairly modern, being only 11 years old.
Facilities
We are lucky enough to have a large hall, which accommodates all the children in one sitting, so we have regular whole school assemblies. We have a spacious ICT suite, equipped with new computers, and 4 laptops and an Interactive Whiteboard in each classroom too. We also have a large playing field and a Multi User Games Area (MUGA for short), which will be open shortly. This is a kind of enclosed ball-games area, with flood lighting so that members of the public outside of school hours can use it.
