Headteacher Mr Steve Morrow
Welcome to Flitwick Lower School Web Site, which I hope you will find both interesting and informative. We are a happy, friendly school, achieving high academic standards. In 1996 we were awarded 'School of Excellence' status by the department of Education and Employment to publicly acknowledge the quality of teaching and learning taking place within the school.

At the present time our 4+ Unit is designated as a 'Centre of Excellence' for literacy teaching. In the main school we have leading Literacy and Numeracy teachers. This means both these staff members are used to help train other Bedfordshire teachers in these two key areas, usually by conducting demonstration lessons.

We have a keen and committed staff, both teaching and non-teaching. Our School Association committee works tremendously hard over the year to raise substantial amounts of money for the children's benefit. You are welcome to visit us after touring the website. Each term we have a designated 'Open Day' when prospective parents are invited between 9:30am and 3:00pm to walk around the school and see the children engaged in their school activities.
We are friendly and approachable and we look forward to meeting with you if you choose to visit or decide to enrol your children with us.
Enjoy your web-visit!!
