Linslade Lower is at the centre of the Linslade Community and is unique in being able to provide high quality education for children between the ages of 2 ½ to 9 years old. The School is located within extensive and attractive grounds and is part of Linslade’s history. The Nursery is housed in the ‘Boys’ Council School’, a beautiful brick and stone building opened in 1913. In 2006 the School boasts spacious classrooms, computer suite, digital cameras for everyday use by any pupil, extensive grounds with high quality play apparatus and a very real community atmosphere. Early Years Your child could receive the best start to their education from the age of 2 ½. Linslade Lower School in partnership with Linslade Childcare offers the most comprehensive childcare facility in the area. • Playgroup, Nursery, Year 1 working together • Delightful facilities on the same site for all your child’s needs • Wrap Around Care providing a Breakfast and After School Club between 8am and 6pm for all children between the ages of 2 ½ and 12 years • Age 2 ½ : Your child can attend Linslade Childcare, which is a privately operated ‘playgroup’ located within the school premises, for details see ‘ Linslade Childcare’ link ( there is also a ‘Wraparound Care Provision for before school and after school) • Age 3+: Your child is able to join the Nursery, which is part of Linslade Lower School • Age 5+: Your child is able to enter Year 1 of Linslade Lower School in the September following their 5th birthday. Advantages of Linslade Early Year opportunity: • Early Years provision for every child on the same school site • Close partnership between Playgroup, Nursery and Year 1 • Wraparound Care for your child at the Breakfast and After School Club (care for your child from 8am to 6pm) Early Years School Day Two sessions are held each day: • Morning 9.00am-11.30am • Afternoon 12.50pm-3.20pm Reception children attend all day from 9.00am-3.20pm

Linslade Childcare provides a ‘Wrap Around Care Facility’. Linslade Childcare aims to provide a safe and fun environment for children between the ages of 2 years and 6 months to 12 years old. It offers a range of childcare packages to suit most families needs; including breakfast, Pre School- am and pm sessions, wraparound care (for children who attend the School’s Early Years Unit), after school club and holiday care.
