Our school is located in East Belfast, close to the Harland and Wolff Shipbuilding Company where the Titanic was built and to the Shorts Bornbardier aircraft factory. We are shortly to have a new school built just behind the existing school so anyone out there with imaginative ideas about a school for the future should get in touch! This website, designed and built by Colin McCausland, occupies a special place in our school.
Staff and students all see its growth as central to the learning and teaching that goes on here. Everyone is encouraged to use the site for research, study and recreation. It tells the rest of the world that we are here and helps us to connect with other students and teachers across the globe.
At Ashfield we are involved in a range of innovative projects such as GCSE IT online, a C2K digital video pilot and in a joint project with Queen's University and C2K in using a virtual learning environment to deliver Citizenship to Key Stage 3 students.
Ashfield GIrls' High School is located in the East of the City of Belfast in Northen Ireland.
