HISTORY
Arborfield, Newland and Barkham Church of England Junior School is set in the Berkshire Countryside and is for children from the ages of 7 to 11 years old. It was originally built in 1873 for children of all ages from the villages of Arborfield, Newland and Barkham and we still like to think of ourselves as a ‘village school’ today.
The ‘Master’s House’ was also built at the same time and is now occupied by the school caretaker. The school has seen many changes over the years, culminating in its becoming a Junior School in 1967 when the Coombes Infant School was built.
