WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL!!!

Admissions Arrangements

Click here to view our catchment area.

The LEA manages admission procedures at different stages: at 3+, 4+ and at 11+ and parents must complete forms to apply at each stage.  Applications for secondary school places are completed in the Autumn term of Year 6.

Unfortunately, there is no automatic guarantee of a place.

Reading manages the different admission procedures centrally and the school has no influence in the application of the rules. The admission procedures are continually up-dated.

Admission To Reception
Admission criteria are set and administered by Reading Borough Council's Admissions Team and are detailed in the booklet sent to all parents.  Unfortunately, due to the demand for Reception places there is no guarantee of a place.

Nursery children visit their new Reception class before the end of their last term in Nursery. Parents are invited to an Induction Meeting, so teachers can share with parents methods and resources in use, and discuss ways parents can support their children's learning.

Transfer From Another School
You and your child will be invited to view the school at work and talk with the Headteacher. If a place is available, an offer will be made following that visit.

Transfer To Secondary School
In the Autumn term when your child is in Year 6 you will receive information about secondary transfer. You will be invited to visit schools and specify your ranked choices.  Secondary schools are Grant Maintained, Foundation or funded by the Local Education Authority; admission policies can therefore differ.  Updated details are given to parents each year, nearer transfer time.

The Admission and Transfer systems are conducted by Reading Borough Council.  Please contact the School Office for current booklets and leaflets on admissions, or visit Reading Borough Council's Admissions webpage.  A copy of the current Guide for parents/carers can be downloaded using the following link:
