Farnham Common Infant School is a small school for boys and girls ages four to seven.
At Farnham Common Infant School we aim to nurture the whole child, developing the skills and concepts for each child to achieve his or her potential, creating an awareness of themselves as individuals and as members of society.
In December 2006, we achieved Healthy Schools status and our school travel plan has been awarded level 3 (the highest!)
The school had a very successful Ofsted inspection in October 2002 and has been awarded two Certicates of Achievement for 2000/01 and 2001/02 for raising standards in education.
In 2004, the school was awarded
'Investors in People' status. In December 2005, the school was reassessed and has kept it's 'Investors in People' award.
Children start at the school in the term that they turn five, initially, as part-time rising fives for the first half-term and then as full-time pupils.
The school admits pupils in two intakes into the Reception year - in September or January. Admission is dependent on their birth date.
There are two parallel classes per year group. All the classes are named after trees to reflect the wooded area at the back of the school.
The majority of our Year 2 pupils transfer to Farnham Common Junior School for Year 3 - provided they meet the necessary admissions criteria.

All parents are members of the Friends of the School and are welcome to our social and fundraising events, which are organised by a committee of parents. Funds raised help to subsidise activities and provide additional facilities. The events are pleasant social events.
