Our Mission
Newbold School is a Christian school for children between the ages of 3 and 11. It is owned and operated by the Seventh Day Adventist church, and its staff form a Christian community which aims to offer pupils an opportunity to develop their mental, physical, social and spiritual faculties. The school welcomes children from all faiths and backgrounds, and seeks to enable them to achieve their full potential as they lay the foundations for their future education and their role in society.

School facilities
The school is set in very attractive grounds, with both hard playgrounds and grass areas for play.
In the summer of 2001, the school introduced new specialist designed play equipment, complete with all-weather safety surfaces. Since its installation, the equipment has proved very popular with children of all ages.
The school is also able to use the excellent gymnasium, at Newbold College, which is adjacent to the school.
Children throughout the school, from age 4 years, are able to have swimming instruction fortnightly.
Extra Curricular Activities
Music
Music plays an important part in the life of the school. Tuition in recorder begins in Year 3 for all children. Older children have the opportunity to develop their skills with the treble recorder.

Newbold School also offers the chance, from Year 2, to learn guitar, flute and violin.

Children in Year 5 & 6 begin to learn a foreign language. They are introduced to French and learn simple phrases and useful vocabulary.
Year 5 & 6 are able to take advantage of the splendid facilities at the adjacent Newbold College Gymnasium.
Children in Year 5 & 6 are encouraged to cultivate their own tub of plants to enhance the environment and develop an interest in gardening.
Year 5 & 6 have planted a wild life garden to encourage insects and mini beasts. We have chosen plants that will attract butterflies, bees and other pollinators. Our small pond has been visited by a frog and we have found an increasing number of insects under the decaying log.
Part of our Literacy unit involved looking at 'Poems of Love and War'. Here are two accounts, written as newspaper reports, of the Charge of the Light Brigade inspired by the famous poem by Lord Tennyson.
