CLASS FUNDRAISING
The Foundation Stage Team regularly fundraise with parents to raise money for extra curriculum resources.
In addition we have a class fund were we ask parents to donate £1 every term (£6 per year) which enables us to buy those little extras which make all the difference!
Congratulations to Kate and the Foundation Stage Team who received an outstanding Bristol Standard report which celebrated the good practice in this part of the school. The Bristol Standard is an audit of the whole Foundation Stage provision, taking into account everything from teaching to parents' views.

Baboon on the moon. We have been watching a short animation to inspire the childrens' literacy. Class one wrote Letters to Baboon to cheer him up, they did a character study of a creature to go and see Baboon, and they did stories about what could happened next. To finish the topic class one made characters out of plasticine, and made an animation of what happen when their creatures went to meet Baboon.

Throughout Year 5 children should be becoming more independent in their learning (e.g. doing homework unsupported) and developing organisation skills & life skills in preparation for secondary school.
