Our Mission

In this Church School we hope that the love of Jesus Christ will be evident to all who come within our walls. We hope that it will guide not only the religious parts of the day, but will become a firm foundation for the whole life of the school. We hope that the children of this school as they grow physically and mentally, will also grow socially, intellectually and spiritually so gaining a real respect for themselves, for each other, and indeed, for the whole of this exciting world - God's world - in which we all live.

Our School

The school was founded in 1847, shortly after the church, by Misses Hannah and Elizabeth Carter who were very concerned about the ungodliness of Hazlemere. It was their determined wish to fund a school “to give children some knowledge of right and wrong”! This was when Hazlemere was no more than a hamlet on a high wind-swept heath. The school has been added to and developed since then and, indeed, continues to do so to maintain a quality learning environment for the children. The school enjoys Voluntary Aided Status as a Church of England school and maintains strong links with the lively, family orientated parish church at Holy Trinity. The school has a nursery unit and provides high quality primary education throughout Foundation Stage, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 which means we provide education for children from three to eleven years of age.
