ABOUT...

About our school

Miss Toohig (Headteacher)

Marlow Church of England Infant School, known to its friends as SANDYGATE, is a two form entry infant school that values standards and achievement.

We are extremely proud of all that goes on here.

As our website demonstrates, the children at Sandygate are supported in their learning by dedicated staff, governors and parents.

I encourage you to browse around our website where you will find

CURRICULUM

Our Vision Is:

To continue to be a Chrristian presence in the community by developing positive, motivated individuals who are educated and equipped for their next step in life.

We seek to provide for every child to reach his/her potential in education/attainment across the curriculum and balance this with the spiritual development of all their communities.

In Nursery and Reception, the children follow the Foundation Stage Curriculum. In Years 1 and 2 the pupils follow the National Curriculum.

For more information please see the curriculum statement through the policies section below:

USEFUL INFO

Children on our healthy schools day

We are very proud of our school and the education we provide for our children.  This page includes some information about our school and links in the community, including

Parents are welcomed into the classroom and are very involved in many aspects of the school

PTA

The Parents and Friends Association better known as the PFA is formed from all the parents of the children at the school. The committee always welcomes new members. There are lots of ways to get involved and help out.   We organise many events over the course of each year.

For the school year 2007-2008 we are hoping to raise £10,000 to help with new  outdoor play equipment as well as provide our normal financial support for extras in the school.   Last school year we exceeded our target having raised around £17,000 by the end of July.  This has partly been spent on a new outdoor playground outside reception.

Please come to the next PFA meeting  on Wednesday 7th November at 8pm in the school staffroom or contact Elaine Iley or Kirsy Vijn via the school office if you would like to find out more or get more involved. Any amount of time given is greatly appreciated.

You can also contact the PFA via the email MarlowCofEPFA@hotmail.co.uk

If you follow the attached links you can see the latest PFA Newsletter and the Sandygate Seller - our advertising newsletter.

We have set up a fundraising web site as http://www.buy.at/MarlowCofEInfantSchool which gives the buyer the best offers from major High Street names, whilst providing the school with an income towards fundraising targets.  It works on a commission basis.  In order for the web site to track your shopping to generate the commission you must have cookies enabled on your computer.
