Olney Middle School

Welcome to our new website. With so many changes to our school community we felt it would be a good time to completely update the whole site but this does mean there are some areas that cannot be finished until the children have started and the new school year is underway.

In future parents will be able to access key information, documents and current news with paper copies only being sent to those parents who specifically ask for them.

Children will be able to use the website to support and extend their work.

If you have any comments or suggestions please email us.

At Olney Middle School we are committed to providing an excellent learning environment for all our pupils. We are always looking for opportunities to develop the children’s interest in a subject and where possible plan trips and invite theatre groups or visitors into school to enrich the curriculum. Our Governors ensure that our classes remain as small as possible. There are four year groups with three or four classes per year group (depending on pupil numbers).

Marilyn Brocklehurst’s last visit was inspirational for both parents and teachers. She is a children’s librarian, owns the Norfolk Children’s Bookshop and has an endless knowledge of excellent books for children. She is visitied OMS on Wednesday 2nd May at 2pm and both parents and staff took advantage of an unmissable opportunity to hear Marilyn speak.

Visit the Norfolk Children's Book Centre website for Marilyn's recommendations (lots her favourites are already available to OMS children to choose from the school library)
