Burwash School is like the village – small and friendly with a great community spirit. It sits in a beautiful location. What is more, the Victorian school is fully refurbished with a new extension, landscaped gardens and adventure playground.
But there is much more to us than that, we are an efficient and effective teaching establishment, working to very high standards and dedicated to continuous improvement.
Children get the very best start at our pre-school group ‘Kipling’ for two and a half to four year olds.
We also offer a wide range of out of school activities in sports and the arts. In addition we offer a whole host of activities outside of school hours.
The school and our children are rightly very proud of their success and the strong community spirit that prevails in all they achieve.
At Burwash school we organise our classes so that the total number of children in the school is evenly distributed. However, not only does the size of age groups vary from year to year, but also the needs of individual children varies with each new intake. Our organisation of class sizes and ancillary support therefore has to reflect a wide variety of circumstances and needs, but once set, we aim to keep changes to a minimum.
The school is made up of 5 classes for the 2007/08 academic year.
