Deepdene School is a popular and successful co-ed school with 118 girls and 108 boys registered.
The school was founded in 1948 as a privately owned and managed school. More than half a century later Deepdene remains a truly independent school. The co-principals own the school. They are experienced, educational professionals who both manage and teach in the Nursery and Pre-Prep Departments.
Mrs Nicola Gane and Mrs Liza Clark-Darby take a personal interest in the development and well being of every child in their care. They are always available to speak with parents and encourage close links between school and home.
Deepdene is organised into three distinct, but fully integrated, departments that offer a unique continuum of care and education.
Children may enter Deepdene at the age of 6 months and remain in this secure and happy school until the age of 8 years.
Although it is a non-selective school, Deepdene pupils achieve consistently high academic results. Deepdene is a non-denominational school and welcomes children from many different faiths and cultures, whilst continuing to maintain its traditional link with the Christian church.
The ethos of, and teaching at, Deepdene school help children to become confident, competent, considerate and courteous individuals.
Many pupils leaving Deepdene at the age of eight years gain scholarships to their chosen Preparatory Schools.
