It is the intention of the School to assist each child to fulfil their potential, intellectually, physically and socially. To further this end our aims will be to:

  • Ensure a broad, basic education for the children in all curriculum areas through a positive and enthusiastic attitude to learning.
  • Create a happy school environment based upon Christian standards.
  • Provide a basic command of English through reading and writing, and develop the ability to communicate with, and understand, others.
  • Develop the children’s knowledge, understanding and enjoyment of science.
  • Develop a knowledge and understanding of basic mathematical operations.
  • Provide children with skills in technology.
  • Ensure all areas of the National Curriculum are taught through a combination of subject and topic teaching.
  • Help children learn the importance of manners, courtesy and consideration for others.
  • Encourage children’s independence and create a desire for knowledge through first hand experience.

Homework is not a time for completing unfinished work, but an opportunity to extend and develop work done in the classroom…Read full document
