"Every young person has his or her own unique blend of abilities, needs and aspirations. Our objective is to guide pupils’ development in a way that enables them to make the most of their own personal qualities. We are concerned with education in its widest sense, and so we encourage pupils to make the most of all their talents.
As Forrester pupils develop into young adults, we hope that in addition to pursuing personal aims they will also behave in a way that is caring of others and of the environment around them. We want them to acknowledge that they have a responsibility to contribute to the community of which they are part. Some pupils will go on to follow courses in Further or Higher Education, others will go    Allan Clapperton
directly into employment. When pupils leave us to take up these challenges, we trust that they will do so with confidence and a feeling that we have served them well."

Allan Clapperton - Head Teacher

Our Ethos

Our Aims
For pupils: to provide stimulating courses and experiences, which respond effectively to their needs.

For parents: to encourage a partnership with parents which serves the best interest of pupils.

For staff: To create a supportive environment in which staff can teach effectively and work together for their development and that of the school.

For the community: to develop links with the community to the benefit of all.

Facilities also include an assembly hall (which is a fully-equipped theatre), a drama studio and an excellent Cafeteria. Our modern Library/Resource Centre offers both an extensive reference and lending library and access to the latest technology. Private study facilities have also been greatly improved.

The Music department offers direct access to “state of the art” equipment, including specially designed practice rooms for all musical instruments. There is also recording studio facilities available to all pupils.

Most subject department now use computers in their normal classroom work and the school is well-equipped in the field of information technology, including three computer rooms, an “electronic office” and two recently created computer suites for whole-school use.

Forrester has excellent sports amenities, both outdoor and indoor. There are extensive playing fields to the rear, with a new all-weather floodlit Astroturf pitch. The main area of the games hall has facilities for many sorts and there is also a squash court, fitness suite and a social area. There is also a gymnasium and a dance studio.
