Barons Court is a small school with a strong family atmosphere and sense of community. We have a proactive approach to education and recognise that it is an evolving process. Consequently we offer a wide variety of development opportunities for all our children, parents and staff. Applications for Admissions

Barons Court is a Community School, with a Nursery, offering education to children aged from 3 – 7 years. Prior to application parents are warmly invited to visit the school.

Should the school be over-subscribed, the admission criteria will be applied giving priority to children in the following order:

Nursery Admission Criteria ~ via the School

* Date of Birth
* Catchment area
* Family circumstances
* Outside catchment area

Infant Admission Criteria ~ via Schools Admission Service (or from 25 September 2006 online at

* Pupils who have a Statement of Special Educational Needs naming Barons Court as the school concerned
* Pupils, who at the closing date for admission applications, are in the care of the local authority
* Pupils, who at the closing date for admission applications, have an exceptional medical or exceptional social reason for attending Barons Court
* If the pupil, at the time of admission, lives in the catchment area and has an older brother or sister attending Barons Court or Milton Hall Junior School
* If at the closing date for admission applications, the pupil's normal place of residence is in the school catchment area
* If the pupil, at the time of admission, lives outside the catchment area has an older brother or sister attending Barons Court or Milton Hall Junior School
* If at the closing date for admission applications, the pupil's normal place of residence is outside the catchment area


* Any information that you feel would assist your application must be submitted by the closing date. Information received after the closing date will not normally be taken into account.
* It should also be noted that if a school place has been secured through false information being provided the Council does have the power to withdraw any place offered.
* The closing date for all applications to Community Schools is during the February  of the year prior to admission to a Reception Class the following September. All applications are made to the Schools Admission Service in the Civic Centre.
