A Specialist Arts College

Welcome to the Clacton County High School website Clacton County High School is an 11-18 mixed comprehensive school of around 1600 students. We are a foundation school and have specialist status in the Performing Arts. We serve the eastern half of the coastal town of Clacton-on-Sea together with the adjacent town of Holland-on-Sea. Our main aim has been to create a site that parents and students will visit frequently for information on school development, on routine matters - term dates and examination timetables for example. There are also copies of the weekly Parent News - both current and archive.		Latest News The school is closed for the half term break. Our specialist status recognises the long established strength of the school in Drama and Music. The additional resources this status brings has enabled us to:

	•	Continue to excel in the specialist subjects of Drama and Music and to introduce Dance as a subject in its own right
	•	Support other subjects in the school through the medium of Performing Arts and thereby drive up standards of attainment across the school as a whole
	•	Work with our partner primary and secondary schools to share our our expertise and enhance the educational opportunities for students across the town
	•	Work with our wider community including business and other organisations to enhance their activities through a performing arts dimension
