St Mary's C of E Primary School

Vision Statement

Our school aims to enable pupils to achieve their full potential academically, socially and spiritually; and to encourage them to develop confidence and a sense of responsibility.  As a Christian school, we strive to achieve this within a safe, supportive, stimulating, caring and happy environment where each individual feels valued and affirmed.

St. Mary's Aided Primary School was opened in 1868 to serve the parish of Woodham Ferrers.  In 1968 it moved to its present premises and now serves the parish of Woodham Ferrers and Bicknacre and also accepts pupils from surrounding areas.

The school is situated in the centre of the village of Woodham Ferrers which lies half way between Bicknacre and South Woodham Ferrers.
