Hello and Welcome to our School

Our pupils!

ETHOS

Our Vision Statement is:

"Believe, Succeed and Grow"

Our Aims are:

  • To have high expectations of achievement, good behaviour, attitude and personal endeavour in all aspects of school.

  • To develop individuals with enquiring minds, self respect, self discipline and positive attitudes.

  • To create an open, positive and supportive atmosphere where each individual, irrespective of race, age, gender, ability and social circumstance is a valued member of our school.

  • To provide a challenging curriculum which is broad, balanced and appropriate to the needs of the child.

  • To provide a curriculum which promotes the spiritual, moral, cultural, physical, social and emotional development of every child within school.

  • To build a positive relationship between home, community, parish and school which provides preparation for the child's entry into the wider world.

Children, parents, staff, governors and the wider community
need to work as a team in order to achieve these aims.

CLUBS

We are proud to offer a wide selection of Clubs which in the past academic year has included the following:

Music:  Recorder Club, 'Voices' and Choir.   Instrumental Music Tuition including keyboard, guitar, flute, violin.
Sport:  Swimming, Cricket, Rounders, Football, Girls Football, Netball, Tag Rugby, Hockey, Athletics and Running.
Spiritual:  Confirmation Club and 'Cool Kids for Christ'.
Other:  Samba, Craft Club, Computer Club, Art Masterclass and School Council.

Children who are interested in enrolling for a School Club should speak to the relevant member of staff who is running the Club.  St Osyth School Newsletter has this information - check the Newsletter page on this website.

Some of the Clubs are aimed at certain Key Stages or Year Groups.   These are also featured weekly in the St Osyth School Newsletter.

By necessity, some of the Clubs have a restriction on the number of children who may take part.  Please speak to the relevant member of staff to check before joining or attending any club.

Finally ... make sure you ask your parents if you want to join an After School Club so they can make arrangements to collect you from school at the end of the Club.  Most After-School Clubs finish at 4 pm.
