The purpose of our website is:

1. To enable members of the school community to access information, news and school diary details at home via the Internet;

2. To publish school learning support materials to support pupils' learning at home;

3. To provide parents and pupils with appropriate educational links available on Internet; and

4. To celebrate school achievements through pupils' work, letters and photographs.

For the latest information about our school, click on the news button on the left hand side.
We have prospective parent visits every Wednesday afternoon. If you are a parent thinking of sending your child to our school, please phone our School Secretary, Mrs. Gans, to arrange a visit.

Friends of Tyrrells (FOT) is the parent association supporting Tyrrells School.

The association was originally formed to fund the running costs and maintenance of the swimming pool, and whilst this remains our priority we are happy to help with any other projects for which the school requires additional funding.

In past years we have provided computers, library books, furniture for the I.C.T suite and more recently new audio equipment for the hall, including microphones, speakers and a new stereo system.
We organise various fundraising events including children's discos, family discos, quizzes, craft fairs, a Christmas Bazaar and our main fundraiser the Summer Fete.

We produce regular newsletters to keep parents at the school up to date with all our events and donations to the school.

The latest newsletter will be available to print/ download from the bottom of this page.
The Committee of parents meet once a month and at present are: -

Chairman: Leigh Leggett and Sarah Mortimer

Press Officer:
Treasurer: Janette Andrews
