We are a non-denominational, co-educational primary school covering the stages P.1. to P.7. (ages 5-12).
The school is situated in picturesque Kames Bay on the edge of the village of Port Bannatyne, approximately two and a half miles from the main town of Rothesay.
The catchment area for the school encompasses the village, farms and housing at the north end of the island; some pupils also travel from Rothesay.
Classes are arranged into composites with two or three year stages in each. For the current session (2001-2002), we have classes as follows:
P1/2 14 pupils
P3/4 18 pupils
P5/6/7 18 pupils

Support for pupils To provide in partnership with others, care, guidance and specialist support to pupils with particular learning needs.

Ethos To engender in pupils a feeling of mutual respect and consideration for others and to work to this end in partnership with parents and all outside agencies.

Resources To maintain a sufficient range of appropriate resources through effective operation of devolved school management and through a co-ordinated development plan/career review and development programme.

For detailed information on the curriculum, please contact the school.
