Auldyn is a brand new school which opened its doors for the first time to pupils on 9th September 2004. It is a feeder school for Albert Road Junior School.
There are more than 250 pupils on roll and these are at present divided into twelve groups. 3 of these are in Year 2, 3 groups are Year 1, 3 groups are Reception (Foundation 2) and 1 nursery group split into 2 sessions. The remaining group is the Special Teaching and Resource centre - The S.T.A.R. Centre.
Each year group-team has a wet area. Here the children pursue their practical activities, art and craft, science, design and technology and play.
The school has a sports hall, a library and an ICT suite and each class has a specific time in each of these rooms. |
