Welcome to the Castle Rushen High School

At our school, we aim to achieve the best for every pupil in our care. We encourage intellectual, physical, personal, moral and spiritual growth by balancing a wide range of pursuits. We do everything possible to help our pupils approach adulthood with a confident, socially aware attitude.

Castle Rushen High School offers a friendly and secure environment to raise expectations and to develop self-confidence by offering opportunities for leadership and responsibility. The school maintains a firm but fair standard of discipline and believes in the traditional values of courtesy and high standards of appearance. It seeks for all its pupils, the highest possible standard of examination results.

Pupils are given the time, encouragement, guidance and resources to explore every facet of their potential. Each pupil is helped to recognise their particular strengths, to play a positive role in the school community, to respond confidently to academic challenge and to develop a wide range of creative and practical skills.

When you visit Castle Rushen High School, you will see pupils confidently making the most of the opportunities that this school offers.

I look forward to meeting you.

Yours sincerely,
M E Tomaszewska - Headteacher
