We are a small village school in the heart of picturesque Chillerton Village.  We take children from the age of 2 - 9.

Although small, we have many excellent facilities.  Our building is newly refurbished and well equipped.  We have a large playground, environmental area and  playing field.

We have a Pre-school on site ( Early Learners) which runs each day from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.  and the Sunshine Toddler Group is held  on Thursdays from 1.30 p.m. to 2.45 p.m. for the under 5's.  Our Breakfast Club runs from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. each day and costs £1.50  which includes breakfast.   After School Club runs from 3 pm to 6 pm each day.  The children enjoy many activities and can have their tea with us, which is included in the cost of  £2.25 per hour (reductions for whole family use).  These clubs run during term time only.

Please contact us if you  would like any more information or if you would like to visit the school.  We hope you enjoy our site.

Teresa Tillbrook,
Chillerton and Rookley Primary School.

Our School Vision is - We build the future together.  We are able to provide an exciting curriculum for the children at Chillerton and Rookley School.  All children are encouraged to work hard to achieve their potential.

After our last  OFSTED Inspection we were told 'Chillerton and Rookley gives it's pupils a good quality of education and the teaching is good'.  The latest PANDA (Performance Assessment Data) report shows that our school has above average national results in all areas of the curriculum.

We welcome parents and visitors to our school.  We have close community links with the church and various societies running in Chillerton, Rookley and Gatcombe.

Our strong Governing Body helps to ensure that the children are happy, motivated, well behaved and taught well.  Each child is encouraged to achieve their best.  They have individual targets which are regularly assessed and revised.

The PTFA meets regularly and holds fund raising events throughout the year.

We run a number of extra clubs.  These include recorder club, country dancing, choir, French and library club.  We have a weekly Celebration Assembly for parents and helpers to see and hear about our school.
