The Early Years
The Early Years department covers Nursery & Reception. Our new nursery works closely with reception. The two groups make the ‘Foundation Stage’ which provide the ‘Foundation Curriculum’. This is an exciting practical curriculum where your child will be developed across six major areas:
· personal, social and emotional development
· communication, language and literacy
· mathematical development
· knowledge and understanding of the world
· physical development
· creative development
Special Educational Needs
Our school has an extensive Special Needs department with a Special Needs Co-ordinator (SENCO) and large team of trained Teaching Assistants. The SENCO holds regular meetings with teachers and parents to ensure that we are catering for the needs of all our children.
