We aim to provide a safe environment to encourage children to respect one another, learn and work together, and to help each other throughout the school.
Cross-curricular Topics
We aim to make links through the core and foundation subjects to encourage children to undertsand a purpose to their learning. We have many links with parents and the community to promote this way of learning.
Modern Foreign Languages (MFL)
The children have a very enriched curriculum which involves the study of foreign languages, such as French and Spanish, from when they arrive in Reception through to Year 6.
Garden
At our school we are very lucky to have a beautiful garden area with two ponds. This is tended largely by Margaret one of our very important Grandmothers. There is a gardening club which takes place for the Beaver class children to attend.

Church
Right next door to our school is the St John the Baptist Church. We feel that it is important for our pupils to go to the Church as often as possible. Therefore assemblies take place in the Church as well as visits to the Church to enhance the pupils learning.
Village
The school is situated in Bredgar Village, home to a number of our pupils, a garage, the Post Office, the Farm Shop and the Sun Pub. As part of the schools' Geography and History curriculum, walks around the village are frequently made. |
